On the horizon
Lisa Cahill's first solo exhibition in Canberra showcases glass wall panels and sculptures exploring the visual line that divides the earth and sky.
Opening Friday 22nd of August 6-8pm
until 20th September
“I am interested in light and space, time and memory. Creating dreamlike images allows the viewer to draw associations with their own remembered landscapes, resulting in a meditative and or emotional response. Intense colour, translucency and captured light combine to evoke notions of an ephemeral landscape and encourage one to consider the transitory nature of human existence”.
Known internationally for her kiln-formed and cold-worked glass wall and sculptural works which include several public art commissions in Sydney and Melbourne this will be Lisa's first Solo exhibition in Canberra. We are very pleased to be presenting a range of wall works and sculptures including a series of exquisite miniatures made especially for Bilk Gallery.
