I have tried several times to capture Wahlenbergia consimilis (Blue Bell) as a piece of jewellery. It grows across extensive areas of Australia and is a cheerful delicate blue with such fine stems often entangled amongst other plants and grasses. it grows on the Mornington Peninsula and in my own garden. I have included an image of an old brochure encouraging the protection of Australian indigenous plants, I also believe we need to be reminded to preserve our natural heritage. If I was an enamellist, I would include its blueness, but silver is my chosen material. - Marian Hosking
