Laminate, 925 silver, Wood & Silk
I live in a suburb on the outer rim of Melbourne’s CBD on the edge of university parklands, Wurundjeri country. Just a short drive into the ‘bush’ and bountiful natural resources. Country Victorians are familiar with the challenges of extreme weather, flooding, drought and bushfires. Whilst visiting Kinglake, Victoria, a few months after devastating fires, I observed the regeneration of vegetation. A rebirth and hope. I returned to the studio and created a jewellery response. - Linda Hughes
